Four identical copies of the antique, wood-carved look 'Angel' statue were created for this production, all carved in polyurethane foam -or 'green death' as we sculptors like to affectionaely refer to it, hard coated and painted with faux crackleure finishes. Polyurethane foam is terrific for developing rapid pieces- you can carve it like butter with kitchen knives and saws; pull piano wire through it; sand and refine it with custom-made, abrasive coated wood tools.
